Universal Studios Orlando Resort is great family fun during covidOur family spent 4 days/5 nights at Universal and absolutely had a blast. The only good thing was the pancakes and waffles. Breeze into one of the Universal parks an hour earlier than other guests with Early Park Admission*.
Good value This hotel opened last summer and typically has the most economical rates of the Universal Resort hotels. We weren't sure if we would be able to fully enjoy the parks and resort during this pandemic but they figured out a way to keep their guests reasonably and practically safe without being over bearing and intrusive. Dockside Inn and Suites 2-Bedroom Suites. Good clean hotel, it’s brand new, and currently only about 50% capacity. They check your temp each day which saves you time getting into the park, and you get early admission into the parks, which I highly recommend taking advantage of. This 440-square-foot suite has 2 bedrooms, 3 queen beds, a kitchenette area with a picnic table, and a bathroom with separate bath and vanity areas.

We were very impressed at all the cleaning and safety measures that Universal had in place that made us feel safe without hindering our fun. *Requires theme park admission. We've been to all the Disney water parks and the WI Dells and Williamsburg and Bahamas and others and the Universal Volcano Bay was our favorite.

Plus, it’s a quick hop from Universal’s hotels to the parks with free shuttles. I recommend the resort but not the food.We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed it. You have a shuttle each day taking you to the parks. We were just there this week.
I’d rather eat at the cabana bay resort. Both hotels will be part of Universal's Endless Summer Resort, a vibrant and sunny retreat. They have a very nice and large pool with lifeguards on staff, a weight room/gym, a nice buffet, Starbucks, and a gift shop that has many of the things you can get from the park. The feeling here is relaxed and easy, with a fun surf vibe woven throughout.
