Morgause is pleased that the three bumbling knights have landed because they have no idea that England is at war with Orkney. The Dark Artifices features her biggest cast of characters to date and she manages to ride that perfect balance of allowing each group the appropriate amount of readership time.

Morgause is not pleased at all that they succeeded where she failed; on the contrary, she has them whipped.
But anyway, I did like this.

He explains that the beast has fallen in love with them (as she thinks that they are her mate when they were in disguise), and refuses to slay the creature.
The book ends with a not so subtle hint that the story will continue. Queen of Air and Darkness is a Shadowhunters novel.

Innocent blood has been spilled on the steps of the Council Hall, the sacred stronghold of the Shadowhunters. There’s everything you expect from the Shadowhunters here; demons, monsters, dead people, dead creatures walking around (like for real), prejudice people trying to hurt everyone, betrayal, love and chocolate chip cookies (not so much).

If you have read the others, you can’t not read this.

I think Clare was trying to give all the characters prominent roles in the story but this made the book go on and on and on as there are so many characters. I read the whole thing in less than a week which was pretty impressive giving the fact I have a baby now, so I did like it.

Gareth rushes to the stables to tell his brothers that she loves them, and he arrives to find that Gawaine and Agravaine are in a heated argument.

It’s also great that the book is so inclusive of LGBT characters. Let us slide into your DMs. He returns to the castle to find that the Questing Beast is waiting outside the castle.

Morgause, frustrated that the knights have not fallen for her, decides that her children matter more to her. But then it would slow down again.

It's so long. Caught in a race against time, Emma and Julian must save the world of Shadowhunters before the deadly power of the parabatai curse destroys them and everyone they love.

It's so long. The whole thing with Annabel I found pointless. I am a rabid fan of all things Shadowhunters.

The wave—there is a movement there! I have a lot of thoughts. What if damnation is the price of true love?

Cassandra Clare writes in an engrossing and entertaining fashion, her research is impeccable and her knowledge of literature and mythology have obviously struck a rich vein of readable fantasy. Only Gareth feels sorry for the unicorn. The Queen of Air and Darkness was the fey deity of magic (especially illusions), darkness, and murder.

Read Queen of Air and Darkness when it hits shelves December 4 to get an idea of which way the supernatural wind is blowing.

The novel begins with the four Orkney children, Gawaine, Agravaine, Gaheris, and Gareth, telling each other stories late at night. The Queen of Air and Darkness also appears as the Queen of the Unseelie Court in fiction such as Laurell K. Hamilton's Merry Gentry series and Emma Bull's War For the Oaks. I enjoyed the book overall but struggled with the ever changing points of view in the first section of the book.

Dark secrets and forbidden love threaten the very survival of the Shadowhunters in Cassandra Clare’s Queen of Air and Darkness, the final novel in the #1 New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling The Dark Artifices trilogy.

Her long-lost true name was never spoken among the fey. I've always been a fan of the worlds Cassandra Clare has created and have been awaiting this book.

I love the Shadowhunter series, I’ve read all the previous and own most of the books, I cannot fault Cassandra’s writing, it’s brilliant!! Second edition, Second printing

The Queen of Air and Darkness Volume 2: The Collected Short Works of Poul Anderson by Poul Anderson A collection of nineteen works includes fiction, verse, and essays and features the Hugo and Nebula Award-winning title

I love Christina and Emma.

Like the previous books in the series, I listened to the audio.

The waves have now a redder glow— The hours are breathing faint He announces to Merlyn that he plans to first put down Lot's rebellion and then use that power to enforce justice throughout his kingdom.

I’m a huge fan of her other books but for me this series just seemed to drag on and on and quite a bit of repetition was happening in the explanations and linking to previous books.
