It's an exciting story about a dangerous situation on Christmas Eve, the illustrations are gorgeous, and the story actually touches on the true meaning of Christmas rather than receiving expensive gifts and Santa Claus and his reindeer. Even though this is a children's picture book, the characters are real and the story is well written.This book contains wonderful illustrations, but the writing is awkward.I don't review every picture book we read aloud in our home, but I wanted to remind myself not to check this one out of the library again in the future.
