The reason so many of us ask about putting a standby database on the same server as the primary database, is that it is homework for Oracle DB Admin courses, which require the creation of a standby DB, and most of us only have access to a single system. I am glad for verification on that matter. What is its significance and how doe db_unique_name differs from db_name and instance_name? Just click on the left to register today! A unique constraint is a single field or combination of fields that uniquely defines a record.
