If both upper and lower radiator hose have about the same temperature, coolant is not circulating (overheating) or the thermostat is stuck open (engine below operating temperature).Look around for potential signs of leakage.

It's just iddle? Coolant level is good. If you are comfortable locating and removing sending units and sensors, you can diagnose this type of problem yourself. If you replace either one,I recommend AC Delco only.So, I left them be, but just finished removing the old aftermarket gauge and replaced it with the same one, which is working properly now. My cars been sitting for a few weeks. Once i get the pigtail i will install it while bleeding the cooling system. There are no relays, just the temp/fan control switch, the resistor and the motor.
